Meet Your Stylist

FELECIA L. WILLIAMS

Felecia Williams is the first African American day spa owner
in Shreveport-Bossier. Williams is the owner of My Spa My Way Day Spa & Salon in Shreveport. The premiere day spa opened its doors in January 2007 and provides a full line of diverse spa & salon services, including massage, facials, body treatments, image consulting, styling, and makeup geared toward all woman but specifically for today’s plus size woman.

 

 Williams has a wealth of experience in the makeup and aesthetics industry. She has worked as a make-up artist, image consultant, and stylist for more than 20 years She served as a medical aesthetician for several years and was one of the first African-American makeup artists for Clinique Cosmetics in Louisiana. Williams also has experience in working with various celebrities on movie sets to oversee their skin care regimen and makeup application. She has worked with television stations, and TV personalities to revamp and freshen up their television and personal appearances.

 

Williams is a graduate of Southern University with a dual
degree in Marketing and Communications. She also gave back to her alma mater by serving as the executive director for the Southern University at Shreveport Foundation for five years.

 

Williams divides her time between owning and managing her own business and giving back to the local community. Williams is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, past board member for the YWCA, Dress for Success, Girl Scout board of Directors, former President of Shreveport Mayor’s Women’s Commission, and numerous organizations that empower and embrace all woman and young girls.  

 

Williams also enjoys empowering the women and female youth of the community by serving as a motivational speaker for various programs at conferences, special events, high schools and community centers. She has recently founded her own foundation in honor of her grandmother called GERTRUDE’S GIFTS. Williams partners with existing organizations to offer self esteem and self awareness training for women and young girls recovering from traumatic
situations such as domestic violence, homelessness, and many traumas that set them back in life. Her organization offers life skills, hygiene, etiquette, and
job readiness skills.

 

As a survivor of depression and abuse Williams knows how important having someone to support and listen is key to recovery.
